When November rolls around, there’s one thing that’s on a lot of people’s minds – Black Friday.

This is one of the best times of the year to buy a vacuum cleaner because of the amazing deals sitewide.

The event has not officially started (as of this posting) but it’s good to be ready when the bell rings.

To help you navigate through literally hundreds of products, we’ve rounded up some of the best deals in different categories to help you get the best deal possible.

It’s fitting that I start with cordless vacuums since this blog is primarily about cord-free cleaners.

These machines are great options is space is a premium since there’s no cord that will get in the way.

The latest variants now come with batteries that will run as much as an hour! No longer are these tools novelty items that can’t click a lick.

Shark IONFlex 2X

Before this Shark cordless vacuum came out, a lot of manufacturers have tried but failed in taking market share from Dyson.

But the IONFlex 2X I can say is legitimately one of the few cordless vacuums that can go toe to toe with a Dyson cordless vacuum.

No, it isn’t as powerful or as well-built but what it has is the same versatility for a fraction of a cost.

The IONFlex 2X, thanks to its 2 lithium-ion batteries will run for about 50 minutes which is around 5 minutes longer than a Dyson V10. And you don’t need to spend $500 for it.

Shark Navigator FreeStyle SV1106

Most upright vacuums weigh at least 15 pounds and not everyone would be willing to lug that around.

The Shark Navigator FreeStyle offers an option that weighs less than 10 pounds without sacrificing on dirt capacity.

It won’t have as much power as an upright but if you’re just cleaning low pile carpet, this is a great option.

Hoover Linx Stick

Like the Shark Navigator, the Hoover Linx Stick is another floor cleaner that weighs less than 10 pounds.

This is a great option as an in-between cleaner if you don’t want to lug around a 15-pound beast.

The biggest downside would be the run time. This will run only 12 minutes with the brush roll on.

It will work best on carpet but it’ll also work on bare floor because of the brush roll on/off feature.

Hoover Cruise

The Hoover Cruise is Hoover’s first attempt at challenging the Dyson cordless vacuum line.

Unfortunately, it didn’t go as well as they’d hope it would.

Still, it is a good cheap alternative though it won’t be as powerful and not clean as well as a Dyson or even a Shark.

If you want something to clean homes with not much carpet, this is a good affordable alternative.

Bissell Bolt Pet

Pet owners looking for a lightweight cordless 2-in-1 vacuum should consider the Bissel Bolt Pet.

This lightweight cordless weighs less than 6 pounds.

You can use this as a handheld or stick vacuum which makes it a great option for picking up pet hair on floors or upholstery thanks to the main cleaning head and pet hair tool.

It won’t be as powerful as the Shark or Dyson but it’s a heck a lot cheaper.

Bissell AirRam

The Bissell AirRam is a similar product to the GTech AirRam, though much cheaper!

It has the same design – motor at the base to increase efficiency and reduce power loss.

Bissell says that the Li-Ion battery of their vacuum will run for up to 40 minutes. The LED headlights help with visibility and it weighs just 8 pounds.

The biggest downside would be the lack of versatility as this is strictly a floor cleaner.

Shark DuoClean ION P50

The DuoClean ION P50 is one of Shark’s latest cordless vacuums with their patented DuoClean system.

At first glance, you’d think this is a plug-in vacuum but it isn’t. It is actually a stick vacuum that morphs into a canister vacuum if that makes sense.

One big advantage of using this type of design is it increases the amount of dirt that can be stored without sacrificing versatility.

And it has HEPA filtration that will block out up to 0.3 microns of allergens. The Li-Ion battery will run for up to 50 minutes!

Upright vacuums

Folks with homes with lots of carpets should definitely look into getting an upright vacuum. These vacuums have the most power and agitation capable of removing dirt under strands of carpet fiber. In my opinion, the best uprights include Shark vacuums because of the Duo Clean technology that is one of the best inventions over the last decade. This dual brush system is excellent at removing any sized surface dirt from bare floor and carpet and is no slouch at deep cleaning carpet as well. If you’re looking at more versatility then a canister vacuum is a great option. This machine combines the above the floor reach of a cordless vacuum and the power of an upright.

Pound for pound, a canister will have less power and will not deep as well. But that would also depend on the brand and if it has a motorized brush or not.

If the Miele C2 is too expensive then you can opt for the less expensive Kenmore 81614 Pet PowerMate.

Unlike the Miele C2 that only works on bare floor, the 81614 PowerMate will also work on carpet because the main cleaning head has its own motor.

Bissell Hard Floor Expert 1547

For homes with only bare floor, the Bissell Hard Floor Expert is a great option thanks to the soft bristle brush it has in the main cleaning head.

The Shark Rocket series is one of my personal favorites because it gave consumers an alternative if a Dyson cordless is too expensive.

This variant is a corded version is the handheld version of the Shark Rocket stick vacuum. It has similar features as the Dyson V7 Trigger. The only difference would be this has a cord.

If you want a cheap tool to clean pet hair off upholstery, stairs and inside your vehicle, this is a great option.

Black & Decker BDH2000L

Here’s another Black & Decker option that will work well at cleaning dust and loose dirt.

The BDH2000L is unique in that it has a rotating nozzle that can be set at different angles to clean areas that may not be as accessible if you’re using something larger.

Cleaning ceiling vents will be easy as pie with the flat nozzle and foldable bristles.

Power won’t be an issue as this has around 35 air watts – same as the Dyson V7 in normal mode.

The Roomba 690 is the upgraded version of the 650. It’s the most basic of all the Roomba robots that use the counter-rotating brush configuration found in the older 500 series.

It still uses the random navigation pattern that the older Roombas use. But it is also the cheapest available right now.

The Roomba 800 series was the first that introduced the bristle-less rubber extractors that have been a staple in the later Roomba robots.

One other upgrade that iRobot did in the 800 series is the navigation.

It tweaked the navigation a little bit to make it less aggressive thus it will not bump as hard on furniture and prevent scuff marks. Like the Roomba 690, this variant has WiFi and Alexa compatibility.

The Bobi Classic is one of the cheapest autonomous vacuum available right now at the sub $200 mark. However, unlike the Neato and iRobot, it lacks WiFi and Alexa compatibility. If you don’t mind this limitation it is a good option.

It has counter rotating brushes that will work well at picking up pet hair. Though you’ll have to spend time cleaning long hair that wraps around it.
