There are instances where we need to clean up spills on our floor.

One option would be getting a towel another is using a wet/dry vacuum like the one I’ll show you in a little bit.
The Ultima V2510 allows home owners to suck up spills of hard floor surfaces like tile without the need to bring out a towel, it can also pick up dust particles as well.
FilterStream claims that the Dirt Tamer V2510 has 400% more suction power than traditional cordless vacuums and will outperform a Dyson and a Hoover – pretty strong claims.
A number of reviews it got concur with the suction power but don’t believe hype that it has 4x more power than other cordless vacs.
Based on the numbers we got – this produces around 33 air watts – a very decent number but its only 5 watts more than a Dyson V6 cordless but it doesn’t have any boost function.
The Black and Decker Pivot, meanwhile produces 2 air watts more than this.
What’s unique about this is it has wet vac capabilities – it can clean up wet messes.
This is a feature absent in most cordless cleaners and it has a HEPA filter.

What to expect from the Dirt Tamer V2510?
Aside from being a wet/dry vac, it’s also equipped with a HEPA filter that filters out up to 99.7% of allergens out of the exhaust – great for people who have allergies to these types of particles. Here’s the full feature list:
- 14.4 volt nickel cadmium battery
- 12 minute run time
- Has 3 attachments – crevice, squeegee and brush tool
- Wet / Dry functionality
- Equipped with LED lights near the nozzle
- Wall mountable charger
- LED indicator lets you know when it’s time to charge
- 3 stage filter that includes a HEPA filter
- Foam filter is used for liquids
Bare floor cleaning
Since this is a handheld and the 12 minute runtime, you can’t use this as your primary floor cleaner but for spot clean ups it works well for both dry and wet messes.
The squeegee tool is handy for picking up spills inside your bathroom floor or countertop.
Carpet cleaning
It lacks a motorized brush that limits its effectiveness on carpet. Again it will be best utilized as a spot cleaner on carpet using the crevice tool.
Upholstery performance
You can use this to clean up spills on upholstery just don’t use any petroleum based cleaners with this. For cleaning up dry debris – use the crevice tool.
Pet hair removal
There is no pet hair tool so removing pet hair will be limited on hard floors. It won’t be effective on upholstery, rugs or carpet.
Attachments and accessories
It comes with 3 attachments – 13” extendable crevice tool, brush tool and squeegee tool for cleaning up liquids.
Charging time
It takes around 10 hours to fully charge.
Filter clean up
This comes in with 2 filters – a foam filter for wet debris / liquid, and a HEPA filter for dry particles.
Always double check which filter is attached because using this to clean up liquids with the HEPA filter on will damage it.
Cleaning will take 4 steps:
- Separate the bowl from the housing by pressing the bowl latch
- Pull out the pre-filter and empty anything collected on it
- Rinse the pre-filter with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only)
- Dry the pre-filter then reinsert it to the bowl after drying
Take note that only the foam filter can be washed, the HEPA filters cannot – it will need to be replaced once every 12 months.
Battery life
It will last up to 12 minutes on a single charge.
Warranty
FilterStream gives a 2-year limited warranty for this.

Customer Reviews
Around 40 plus consumers left reviews and several said that suction power is very good and run time was decent.
One user liked that it had a HEPA filter because they lived in a dusty area and some of their family members had allergies.
The biggest downside according to reviews was the battery, since it uses an old NiCad – performance degrades, some say didn’t even reach a year and one reviewer mentioned that customer service doesn’t want users to replace the battery themselves because of potential installation issues.
But after checking FilterStream’s website – replacement batteries are still available.
Reviews from other sites
Epinions.com
Not much here as only 5 left their reviews, and all of them agreed that it had decent suction power but at battery life was another story, it degraded too quickly and unfortunately for some of them it gave out just after the warranty expired.
One consumer needed to spend around $25 for a replacement battery, that’s about a fifth of the cost of this vacuum.

Where can I buy this?
You can buy this wet/dry vacuum in Amazon for less than $100 and it is eligible to their free 2-day shipping if you join Prime.
Extended warranties are also available of up to 3 years if you want that extra peace of mind.
Conclusion
This product is great for…
I’d only get this if I need wet/dry functionality, the battery life based on reviews will last even last the first year and the absence of replacement batteries available online means that if it breaks, you won’t be able to use it until you have it repaired or replaced – not worth the price tag.
It does however, give you good suction power for small clean-ups, especially spills on your upholstery or carpet – just follow the instructions stated in the manual but always check what filter is attached because using the HEPA filter on liquid will ruin it.
HEPA filter expense also will add up because you’ll need to replace it once a year.
And No, this will not outperform a Dyson or a Hoover because it doesn’t have the attachments or the battery technology to do so.
Takes too long to charge and will only last 12 minutes.
