One of my good friends is a pet lover, and she has around three dogs.
All of which shed a ton, plus she has asthma.
Not a good combo.

When the shedding season comes, and she has her asthma attacks, it’s not fun.
If you’re like her, would you buy a Neato or this mighty mite pet lover that is much cheaper?
I’ll only buy the former if I had an extra $500 to spend, but for people looking for a bargain, the 3684F Might Mite will be up to the task.
It has a wider cleaning path at 11″ compared to the 10″ of the 3670G, and it comes with a “Pet Power Paw” attachment – basically a small tool with a motorized brush that comes in handy when cleaning pet hair on upholstery and stairs.
The floor tool, however, still isn’t equipped with a brush roll, so that is a minus point.
Pros
- Weighs just under 9 pounds
- HEPA filtration blocks out almost all allergens from coming back out
- Telescopic wand is long enough to reach the ceiling
- The bag is designed to reduce odor from pet hair
- Has a “pet power paw” attachment that tackles pet hair on upholstery and stairs
- Has a wider 11″ cleaning path compared to the Eureka 3670G
Cons
- Floor tool doesn’t have a motorized brush
- HEPA Bags do add to the operating cost
- Some question marks with the build quality of the hose
- No cord rewind
- No storage for the wand and floor tool
What to expect from this lightweight purple canister?
Nearly every aspect of this vacuum is designed with pet hair removal in mind.
First, it comes with the so-called “Pet Power Paw” that is equipped with a motorized brush that will pick up pet hair on stairs and upholstery.
Unfortunately, the floor tool isn’t equipped with a beater bar, so pet hair cleaning on the carpet will be a bit tedious.
It weighs just 8.6 pounds, so you’ll not have any difficulty in moving this around, mainly cleaning stairs.
The lack of a shoulder strap is a con for me because this should free up your other hand to control the attachments in cramped areas.

Here’s the full list of features:
- Floor tool has an 11-inch cleaning path
- Attachments include the “Pet Power Paw” tool, crevice tool and combination brush/upholstery tool
- The telescopic wand extends up to 55 inches
- Has a cord storage underneath the canister
- 20-foot power cord (no rewind feature though)
- 12 amp motor
- Uses Arm and Hammer odor-eliminating dust bags that prevent odor build-up
- Has HEPA filtration that blocks 99.97% of allergens from coming back out
Bare Floor Performance
This will perform best on bare floor surfaces because the 12 amp motor produces the right amount of suction.
The floor tool does not have any motorized brush, so this will rely purely on suction to get the job done.
It’ll do a great job on all types of debris as long as it fits through the opening, but avoid using this on sawdust because it’ll clog the bag pretty quick.
A shop vac would be a better option for sawdust. Please check my article on cleaning shop vac filters just in case you own such a vacuum.
The telescopic wand is adjustable, so cleaning stairs shouldn’t be hard with the floor tool or any of the attachments.
Carpet Performance
Since this model doesn’t have a beater bar (I wish Eureka would come up with one), performance on carpet suffers.
If you’re using the floor tool, it’ll be limited to cleaning surface dirt on a thin pile carpet. Using the pet power paw tool helps a little bit, but it will not cover a lot of areas and will excellent for spot clean-ups.
Pet Hair Removal
The Mighty Mite 3684F uses an attachment called the Power Paw tool to pick up pet hair on upholstery, and based on reviews, and it did an excellent job.
It isn’t wide, measuring approximately 3 to 4 inches wide. This tool has a motorized brush that makes it so effective.
You can also use this to clean carpeted stairs and carpet flooring, but with the latter, it’ll be best used as a spot cleaner because of the narrow cleaning path.
Attachments and Accessories
This one comes with three tools.

Cord Length
The power cord is around 20 feet long and can be stored using the cord wraps underneath the canister.
It does not have any cord rewind, though, which is a con, but adding this feature would mean a heavier vacuum.
Filter Clean up
This vacuum comes with a HEPA filter that prevents 99.97% of allergens from coming back out.
It is located behind the bag and can be accessed after removing it.
Warranty
It comes with a one year warranty.

Customer Reviews
Consumers who purchased this were happy with the performance on hard floors and upholstery.
One even said that suction was comparable to the more expensive Miele vacuum.
Cleaning pet hair off upholstery was one of the strong points of this product thanks to the power paw attachment.
A lot of people who left reviews owned various types of pets, and they were satisfied with how this little canister cleaned up all sorts of messes their pets left behind.
The telescopic wand is another popular feature that allowed consumers to reach high places like cleaning cobwebs of ceiling or vents.
Folks love the HEPA filter that helped block out allergens from coming back out, this is great for asthma suffers or people who suffer from any form of respiratory illness, but there were complaints that it didn’t function as it should.
One went as far as saying that the air bypassed the HEPA filter! But this could be a lemon unit, though.
Most people who bought this used it on hard surfaces, and the few who tried it on carpet said that it didn’t do well using the floor attachment because it does not have any motorized brush.
The air vent located near the handle of the vacuum that controls suction power gave some consumers problems – they said it is easy to turn and open accidentally.
I’ve used these types of vacuums with air vents. You’ll need to figure out a way to hold it without turning the knob that covers the air hole, and it takes a little getting used to.
There were also complaints about the flexible plastic hose being brittle that easily breaks, though it only comes from a minority of reviews; it is something to look out for when buying this.
Another complaint was the loudness, but this is typical for small vacuums.
Overall, consumers raved about how it tackled pet hair on upholstery and carpet, but there were concerns about the hose being low quality.
It isn’t a surprise considering the price point of this vacuum.
Where can I buy this?
You can buy this canister vacuum from Amazon, and it’ll be eligible for their free 2-day shipping if you join Prime.
Extended warranties of up to 3 years are available if you want that extra peace of mind.
Please note that if you buy through the link above, I will earn a commission, but at no additional cost to you.
Conclusion
This canister vacuum is great for people with carpet who own homes with mostly bare floor surfaces because while it has a pet hair cleaning tool for upholstery, the floor tool doesn’t come equipped with a beater bar that’s needed to tackle this.
It is a no non-sense cleaner that will do the job based on reviews, the quality of the plastic hose concerns me, though, as several consumers have complained that it was flimsy and easy to break.
Also, you cannot use this as your main carpet cleaner because it isn’t equipped to do so, you can do it in small areas, but for homes with wall to wall carpeting, it won’t be able to do the job.
Remember that this is a bagged vacuum, so you’ll have to buy bags and keep some in reserve, but the good news is bags cost less than a dollar per piece, so it isn’t a huge expense. Please check my article comparing a bagged vs. bagless vacuum where I have an online calculator that helps you compute the accumulating costs of bags.
People who suffer from back problems will love this because it weighs only 8.6 pounds, half of what a typical upright weighs.
